Freeze and thaw cycles in York Region are hard on interlock. Pavers sink, shift and heave when the base underneath is too thin. That is why we excavate deep and compact the base in layers before a single paver goes down.

Questions we get asked
How much does an interlock driveway cost?
It depends on the size, the paver you pick and how much excavation is needed. We visit, measure and send one lump-sum price with the full process written out.
How deep do you excavate?
Our standard build excavates down to 18 inches, followed by a compacted 3/4 inch base, HPB bedding, 80 mm pavers and polymeric sand.
Can you fix sunken interlock?
Yes. We lift the pavers, rebuild and level the base underneath and relay them. This is called lift-and-relay.
Do you handle drainage?
Yes. Where water collects, we run weeping tile to a pop-up emitter to move it away.
Do you re-sand interlock?
Yes. We clean the joints and refill them with polymeric sand, which hardens and helps keep weeds and ants out.
